Before relocating to Cleveland, Ohio, I grew up in Wrightstown, New
Jersey, located in Burlington County. I went to high school, taking
college preparatory classes before attending Drexel University in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While at Drexel, I pursued a Bachelor
Degree in Biology. After one year, and no financial assistance, I
returned home and enrolled in Burlington County College in
Pemberton, New Jersey. There, I received an Associate of Arts Degree in Communications. A week after completion of my degree, we moved to Cleveland, Ohio. Within a year of coming to Cleveland, I applied to Cleveland State University as an incoming transfer student. Financial aid was not kind to me at that time, so continuing my college education was put on hold. However, I did gain employment, working for Ernst & Young. I did have the opportunity for continuing education at Ernst & Young, including receiving technology certifications in Lotus Notes. After being laid off in 2001, it was very difficult to find gainful employment close to my qualifications. I was hired by Cuyahoga Community College. Once I completed my employment for the college, I obtained my technology certifications in Microsoft Office in a week. Currently, I am in college, pursuing my Bachelor Degree in English. I reapplied to Cleveland State University and was reaccepted. Financial aid was kind to me, allowing me to now pursue my degree.
