I
first came to Cleveland, Oh. in August, 1993. My father had lost his
job with a large corporation, working there for 20 years to the day before being
laid off. My mother, working for the federal government, knew her
job was being phased out and knew there were job openings in
Cleveland. She interviewed and was hired immediately. My father was
also interviewed and hired because of his veteran's status.
My first employment in Cleveland was with Kelly Services. I worked for them for 5 months before receiving an offer from Ernst & Young. I was hired as a Word Processor and Desktop Publisher in the education services division. After working for Ernst & Young for seven years, I was laid off. While employed with Ernst & Young, I had the experience to work in the following roles: Word Processor/Desktop Publisher, Database Manager, Application Developer, Network Administrator/System Administrator, Technical Asset Manager, Technical Writer, Technical Trainer, and Programmer Analyst.
